"Phases of Other
Moons"
Medium: Copper and fire
Steve Syverson

The vast majority of my work is sculptural and figurative in nature, either in clay or wax, and marble, so the series of manipulated copper pieces the I have been creating recently might indicate that some sort of shift has occurred, although I prefer to think that I’ve just taken a temporary rest from figurative work. I love the way heat effects the color and texture of the malleable copper surface of my new pieces.

Figurative sculpture will surely remain my primary interest, and such work still slowly emerges, but the experience of creating the copper pieces has opened my mind to a broader application of my abilities. New materials and new subjects opening new creative doors. Tel: 978-973-1144

Nancy Novak
Ms. Novak is a management executive at a high technology research and development company in Bedford, MA, and has a photography studio at 122 Western Ave, Lowell, MA. Her photos have been shown across the United States and have received both government and corporate sponsorship.
She is currently working on a series showcasing the beauty of flowers. While I have photographed traditional well known and loved flowers, I am currently working on a series on wildflowers; the flowers you find on the side of the road, the flowers people consider weeds. It is my hope that my photographs can make people appreciate the beauty that surrounds them. I desire to elevate these lowly flowers into a higher art form. Three prints from this series were recently purchased by the Enterprise Bank in Tewksbury, MA, and can be seen there.  View Work at: www.sdimagingstudio.com
